Why Coastal States Bank
Bringing a Local. touch to every community we serve.
Coastal States Bank is more than a bank – we are your neighbors, friends and advocates, and we are proud to be a part of our community. We are passionate about community banking, but what does that mean to us? It means we care about building a trusted relationship with you – whether through in-person interactions in our branches or through phone calls, online chats and virtual experiences.
Empower growth and financial success within our communities.
Prosperity in communities only happens when we all work together. From our local bankers and team members behind the scenes to the businesses and individuals we serve, we focus on exceptional, positive interactions and service.
Strength and success stem from trusted relationships
You may come across the term relationship banking in various banks, but we translate words into actions every day. From your very first interaction with us to years into our partnership, you will feel trust and care.
You. You’re more than a transaction with us.
You are a successful business owner, a committed community leader, a busy parent and more. We can open an account and process a transaction just as great as any bank, but we're committed to your full financial success in your personal life and your business life.
Local. is more than geography. Local. is community.
Local. is relationships.
In 2004, Coastal States Bank opened its doors in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, as southern Beaufort County’s only locally-owned bank. Our founders saw an opportunity to serve the community through a relationship-based bank where friends and neighbors could serve each other.

No matter where you are.
The strengths of our relationships and our unwavering commitment allowed us to thrive and earn the trust of our partners. Weathering the storm of the Great Recession, we proudly maintain long-standing connections while expanding our reach to communities far and wide. From South Carolina to Georgia and coastal states and beyond, we bring our Local. touch to enrich the lives and communities we serve –from our physical branches and neighborhoods to communities nationwide.
